(Testimonial) "Hello from San Diego! Arya, daughter of Honey and Sutter, just turned 2 and is the most lovable dog we have ever had.
We have so much fun together. As you can see, she is also nearly trained for SAR work (search and rescue) -- something she loves to do.
Here we spent the day at Sea World on a Public Relations Event.
Why Choose Us?
Goldendoodles have become so popular these days that you have a lot of options of where to choose your new family member from. I'd like to take a moment and help you with the decision making process.
Here at TLC Goldendoodles, we truly give our puppies lots of Tender Loving Care. From the moment of birth we are attending them for hours straight. This high quality care continues in our home with the mama and babies right beside our master bedroom where we can hear them all night and immediately attend to the puppies if one puppy strays too far from mama.
As the puppies grow, we follow professional puppy training and socialization techniques that we learned in our training with CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. This is a huge benefit that will literally help the puppy for the rest of its life. Proper socialization exposes the puppies to many new sounds, sights, textures and interactions with people and dogs to help the puppy to know that such experiences are 'normal' and nothing to be frightened by for the rest of its life. The crucial timing for this training is up until the puppy is 12 weeks old.
Another major factor that makes us stand out is the fact that our doggie parents have been health tested by OFA. This testing is important to show that the parent doggies are most likely to produce puppies with healthy joints as well giving you peace of mind. In contrast, choosing a puppy from a breeder that has not done this may save you money up front, but may bring you much heartache and financial strain (far outweighing the initial discount) later if surgery is required.
Another benefit of having the health testing done is that it shows a higher level of dedication and ethics of the breeder to high standards of care for their dogs and puppies. Here at TLC Goldendoodles, our heart and hands are totally committed to the best decisions, care and interactions we can provide for all our furry friends with attention to temperament and personality too.
What is a Goldendoodle?
Goldendoodles are a wonderful cross of Golden Retrievers and Poodles, gaining all the positive attributes of each breed as well as the additional benefit of what's called Hybrid Vigour. This refers to the fact that the first cross between two unrelated purebred lines is healthier and grows better than either parent line. All pure bred dogs began as hybrid dogs that creative people combined for desirable traits.
Golden Retrievers, with their kindly expressions, contribute a friendly, reliable personality as well as beauty, to the goldendoodles. They are eager, alert and self-confident. Poodles contribute friendliness, intelligence, non-shedding curls and hypo-allergenic traits to the goldendoodles. Both parent lines are water fowl retrievers and love the water and are easily trained. This cross is called the F-1 generation which maximizes genetic diversity for better health.
Sutter- Our stud is a cream-colored Standard Poodle named Sutter. He has an amazingly jolly personality! My daughter loves playing ball with him and we all laugh at his cute gait that looks like a prancing pony. He is a delight! He is 60 pounds.
Cinnamon- Cinnamon is a dear, sweet dog with a beautiful dark red coat and a gentle disposition. She weighs 74 pounds. Cinnamon's puppies usually weigh in the high 70s when full grown.
Honey- Honey is a golden apricot color. She is dainty beauty that's very playful and fun. She weighs 54 pounds. She is 20 pounds smaller than Cinnamon so her puppies will be smaller than Cinnamon's when full grown, usually in the 60s.
All the puppies are beautiful and will be F-1 Standard Goldendoodles. Below are photos of our parent dogs.
